Should I brag about the fact that I haven't posted anything for over two months? I thought doing so would help me hide my shame, but it isn't working. I do have a slightly (and I mean very slightly) better excuse for not posting much these past two months. My home computer has been offline! Ok, to be fair, that has only been true for maybe 3 weeks, but it is true today! I'm posting this from my system here at work. Like I said, it wasn't a great excuse. :)
The reason for my home system being down is due to the crazy idea we had to replace the carpet in a few rooms upstairs. We decided to install hardwood flooring ourselves (to save a ton on labor) and boy did we underestimate the work it turned out to be! We're basically done with the floor install now, but still need to hang all the base trim and do a bunch of painting etc. Sometimes it feels like we're never going to be truly done and back to normal.
Anyway, I do plan to share pictures of the work we've done as soon as I get my home office back up and running. Hoping to have that room done this weekend, but we'll see how it goes.
