It was sure nice having Grandma and Grandpa up for a visit. The kids really enjoyed the time we all had together. The day they flew out, Tanner came home from school in tears because he knew they wouldn't be there when he arrived home. It sure is hard sometimes living so far away from everyone.
Thanks for coming up and visiting us! Thanks for the "thank you" cards you sent afterwards! Hopefully some of the pictures I took and copied for you turned out ok.
We love and miss you!

Today would have been the 27th birthday of my youngest brother Ben. I have had Ben on my mind a lot since he passed away last February. Sometimes I think about him so abruptly due to something I see or hear that it feels like a huge weight pushing down hard on my chest making it hard to breath. Once I even had to pull the car over on a commute home. It hasn't been easy.
I'll always wish for more time with my baby brother. I'll always regret the squandered time I had. But I'll also treasure many of the memories as well. Over the years I hope to compile these memories in every way possible. Some will be written memories. Others will be pictures we have taken. And others will be like the following video I managed to dig up. It was emotionally hard to make this video, and while I cleaned it up some, it is very old (26 years) and I plan to keep working on it as my video editing skills improve.
Overall it was good for me to spend the time on this and I hope you enjoy it as well.

Today my wife celebrates the passing of another year. I won't tell you how old she is, but I will say she was born exactly one month and one day before Apollo 17 landed on the moon. Unless of course you are part of the conspiracy theory that doesn't believe we ever really have landed on the moon. If so, then it was one month and one day before Apollo 17 supposedly landed on the moon. :)
Hopefully she has been having a good day. I know she was thrilled that the school district here in Monroe decided to give her a birthday gift of no school today. This meant she didn't need to get up at 6:00am!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
